The Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) is an on-going structured dialogue between the
Vietnamese Government and the business community. The Forum aims to develop of
a favorable business environment that attracts foreign investment and
stimulates domestic economic growth.
Key VBF activities include:

Promote an effective public-private dialogue to improve the business enabling
environment

Remove barriers impeding business operations
-
Provide feedback on various Government policies, laws, and regulations
affecting the private sector

Promote consistent enforcement and non-discretionary interpretation of laws and
regulations
-
Provide donor organizations with the facility to work directly with Government
and private sector partners on private sector development issues.

The Ministry of Planning & Investment (MPI) and the Ministry of Construction (MOC) in collaboration with Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) will organize a roundtable to discuss ownership of property attached to land use rights by foreign organizations and foreign individuals in Vietnam.

VBF received several comments from the business community on the Draft Law which admends and adds to certain articles of the current IP Law issued in 2005.
Those comments were submitted to the Legal Commitee of the National Assembly, and Legal Department of the Office of the National Assembly, National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam, and Vietnam Copyright.
Below are those comments for your reference.

This draft will be submitted to the National Assembly for discussion and review at its official meeting session this May 2009 and going to be approved in October 2009. Once approved, the Law will replace current regulations on telecoms governed under the Ordinance on Post & Telecom 2002. VBF received comments from the Telecom Sub-Group's members on version #23 of the Draft Law. Below are those comments for your reference.

Decree 160 was issued on Dec 28, 2006 in regards with foreign exchange. The Draft Circular has been prepared with the intention to elaborate chapter II and IV, Decree 160 in regards with forex usage and transfer within the territory of Vietnam.
