Infrastructure Working Group
The Infrastructure Working Group consists of local and foreign companies classified under the three following sub-groups: Power and Energy, Ports, and Telecommunications. The Group's work has focused on the policy and legal framework for the development and operation of new infrastructure in Vietnam. Among other things, it has advised on the issuance of various iterations of the BOT regulations over the years, which provide the basis for various power projects, on the legal framework for development of PPP projects, on the removal of state-ownership requirements applicable to telecommunication service providers, on the improvement of port and handling capacity and related infrastructure, and on various master plans (including power master plans and Vietnam's seaport system development).
The Group is co-chaired by Mr. Tony Foster, Managing Partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Vietnam and Mr. Tran Tuan Phong, Senior Partner of VILAF. Key members include domestic, overseas and multinational companies in power and energy, telecommunications, port operations, shipping, law, accountancy and the financial sector.
